The 2nd annual College and Career Week at Bethlehem Elementary School was held the week of April 8. The PreK – second-grade students had a spectacular day learning about the many vehicles they see on the road at a Touch A Truck event with professionals who brought their vehicles for the morning. Students got a first-hand look at the different parts of a big rig, a tractor, a minibus, work trucks, a mobile vet truck, and more and learned about the careers that go along with them.
Career Speakers Day for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade included visits by professionals from a wide range of careers who offered students some insight into how and why they chose their career path and shared the necessary education and training that helped them reach their career goals. Students heard from an electrician, an attorney, a mechanic, a nurse, a data scientist, a firefighter, an engineer, local farmers, a cookie baker and candy shop owner, a bicycle designer, and our state senator Eric Berthel.
