BES 5th Graders Build "Thinking Classrooms"

The first few weeks in school incorporate review and the learning of new concepts. This week, fifth graders at Bethlehem Elementary School are using previously learned concepts like collaboration and communication to help them understand the norms of building a "Thinking Classroom."

In Heather Casey's room today, students headed to the whiteboards to work on a math word problem. It was terrific to get the right answer, but the activity was more about teamwork and getting on their feet to think.
